Easy Corn Upma Recipe
Corn Upma is a healthy, tasty and colorful dish. It is equally great for both breakfast or snack. It is nutritious, tasty and very easy to make at your home. Here rava is replaced by Corn to give a new twist to this upma.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cupscoarsely crushed sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
- 2 tspoil
- 1/2 tspmustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
- 1/2 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
- a pinchof asafoetida (hing)
- 1-1/2 tspchopped green chilies
- 1/2 cupmilk
- saltto taste
- 1/2 tbsplemon juice
For The Garnish
- 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
Directions
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds, asafoetida and green chilies, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for a few second.
- When the seeds crackle, add the crushed corn, mix it well and cook on a low flame for 5 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Add the milk and salt, mix it well and cook a low flame for 5 minutes and stir continuously.
- Add the lemon juice and mix it well and garnish with coriander leaves and switch off the flame and serve it hot with a ginger pickle.
