Restaurant Style Bhuna Chicken Recipe

Bhuna Chicken is a popular Indian recipe served at restaurants. This chicken dish brings soul to every party or dinner. This chicken dish is made with a melange of spices and this chicken recipe is a must try for all the non-vegetarian lovers.
Ingredients
- 500gmchicken with bone
- 2 bigonions finely chopped
- 3tomatoes finely chopped
- 1 tablespooncashew nuts paste
- 8cloves garlic finely chopped
- 2 inchginger minced
- 2green chilies finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoonred chili powder
- 3/4 teaspooncoriander powder
- 2 teaspoonlemon juice
- 1 teaspoongaram masala powder
- 1bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspooncumin seeds
- 2green cardamoms
- 1star aniseed
- 1clove
- 1 teaspoonkasoori methi (dried fenugreek)
- 2 tablespoonghee /oil
- A pinchred food colors
- saltto taste
Directions
- Clean the chicken pieces in tap water and apply salt and lemon juice all over chicken pieces and cover it and keep it aside.
- Melt the ghee in a non-stick pan and add bay leaf, clove, cumin seeds, cardamoms, and aniseed.
- Saute it for few seconds and add finely chopped onion and stir it.
- Add green chilies, ginger and garlic, and fry it till oil begins to separate.
- Add finely chopped tomatoes, salt, and spices.
- Reduce the flame and cover the pan for 2 minutes and keep stirring until the onion-tomato mixture softened.
- Add chicken pieces and cook on a low flame and saute well with onion-tomato mixture
- Add 2 cups of water, cover with lid a and cook it a low flame or cook until the chicken is well done.
- Add a drop of food color, mix it very well and add dried fenugreek and cook for 8-10 min
- Add cashew nuts paste and mix it.
- Garnish the dish with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot naan or roti.
