Chatpata Rajma Wrap Recipe
Introduce this protein packed Chatpata Rajma Wrap in your kid’s diets. This wonderful rajma recipe retains all the taste without being calorie dense. The rajma is balanced by rolling up with wrap with a chunky curd dressing. A protein packed wrap and which helps you to stay strong and healthy.
Ingredients
For The Dough
- 1 cupWhole Wheat Flour
- 3/4 cupWater
- 2 tablespoonCooking oil
- 1/2 teaspoonSalt
- Gheeto smear
For the filling
- 1Onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cupRajma (Large Kidney Beans)
- 1Tomato, finely chopped
- 5Garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoonTurmeric powder (Haldi)
- 1 teaspoonRed chili powder
- 2 teaspoonChaat Masala Powder
- 1 teaspoonDry mango powder (amchur)
- 1 tablespoonTomato Ketchup
- 2 tablespoonCooking oil
- Saltto taste
For the dressing
- 4 tablespoonHung Yogurt (Greek/ Thick Curd)
- 2 teaspoonChaat Masala Powder
- 2 tablespoonRoasted tomato sauce
- 4Iceberg lettuce,stems cut
- 1/2Onion, cut straight
Directions
- Soak the rajma overnight or for 6 hours and boil them till they are soft and drain and discard the water and slightly mash 1/2 of the boiled rajma and keep them aside.
- Make the dough by mixing all the ingredients meant for dough and while adding water, add little at a time and knead to make a soft dough.
- Cover it and keep it aside till the filling is ready.
For making the filling
- Heat a kadhai and add oil and after the oil is heated, add onion and fry till it turns pinkish. Add garlic and saute it and add chopped tomato and saute, till tomato turns mushy. Add rajma and mix everything well.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, kitchen king masala and dry mango powder and make sure everything is mixed well.
- Add tomato sauce and mix it.
- Add salt to taste, mix and switch off the gas.
For the dressing
- Mix curd with chat masala and keep it aside.
- The next step is to assemble the wrap and make 4 balls from the dough and flatten them into round rotis or chapattis one by one.
- Heat a Tava or frying pan and place the rolled out roti.
- Fry it on both sides and apply ghee to it and place in an insulated casserole.
- Place a prepared roti on a plate and at the top, place the lettuce leaf.
- At the center of the chapatti, place 2 tablespoons of the chatpatta rajma filling in a line and add more if needed.
- On the top of that, add 4-5 drops of tomato sauce in a line.
- On top of this, add the curd dressing and then add straight cut onion on top of this.
- Now gently roll the roti with the filling and start with one end of the roti and bring it to the center and then get the other side to the center and fold the bottom part slightly.
- Wrap this filled roti roll with a tissue paper.
- Serve Chatpatta Rajma Wrap with any Chutney or ketchup for a light dinner or as an evening snack.
