Pudina/Mint Paratha Recipe
Pudina/Mint Paratha is a popular breakfast recipe. This paratha has a refreshing taste. It is an interesting paratha recipe that can be served with raita or pickle for breakfast. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 cupswhole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- 1/2 cupfinely chopped mint leaves (phudina)
- 1onion, chopped
- 3 to 4green chilies,chopped
- 1/2raw mango,chopped
- 1 tbspchopped coriander (dhania
- 1/2 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/2 tspgaram masala
- saltto taste
- a pinchof carom seeds (ajwain)
- oilfor cooking
Directions
- In a bowl, add enough water to the wheat flour and knead to a smooth dough and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and keep aside.
- In a bowl add mint leaves, onions, chilies, raw mango, coriander, cumin seed, garam masala and salt and mix it well.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and keep it aside.
- Roll out a portion of the dough into a circle of 4” diameter.
- Place a portion of the stuffing at the center and bring the edges together at the center to seal tightly.
- Roll out again into a circle of 6” diameter by using a little whole wheat flour.
- Heat a tava and cook each paratha, using little oil, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
- Serve hot with chutney or tea.
