Add onions and ginger-garlic paste and saute on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, chili powder, coriander-cumin seeds powder and salt, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir occasionally. Add rajma and 1 cup of water, mix well and pressure cook for 35 min. Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid. Ingredients

  • 1/2 cuprajma (kidney beans) , soaked overnight and drained
  • 3 cupscooked rice (chawal) or leftover rice (chawal)
  • 1 tbspoil
  • 1/2 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1/4 tspasafoetida (hing)
  • 1/2 cupsliced onions
