How to make Amritsari Fish Recipe
Amritsari Fish is a popular street food of Amritsar. The fish is dipped in a flavorful marinade and deep fried making it crispy and crunchy from outside and deliciously soft inside. This makes an excellent party food and a lip smacking treat. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 600 gramsKing Fish cut into fingers
- 1 cupGram Flour
- 1 tablespoonRed chili powder
- Saltto taste
- 1 teaspoonCarom seeds (ajwain)
- 2 tablespoonsGinger paste
- 2 tablespoonsGarlic paste
- 1 tablespoonLemon juice
- oilto deep fry
- 1Egg
- 1 teaspoonChaat masala
- 2Lemons cut into wedges
Directions
- Take the fish fingers in a bowl and add red chili powder, salt, carom seeds, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, gram flour and mix it well and put it aside.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadhai.
- Break an egg into the fish mixture and mix it well and put the fingers, a few at a time, into the hot oil and deep fry till almost done.
- Drain and place on an absorbent paper and deep fry again just before serving till golden in color and crisp.
- Drain and place on an absorbent paper.
- Serve hot, sprinkled with chaat masala and lemon wedges.
