Navrathri Special - Sabudana Kheer Recipe
Sabudana Kheer is a very special Navrathri fast recipe. The recipe can also be fed to kids and old age people because it is relatively easy to digest than other food items. Other than that it is also an oil free recipe. It is good for your health even when you are not fasting.
Ingredients
- 1 cupSabudana or Tapioca (smallest size)
- 2 cupsMilk
- 1cupswater
- Jaggeryor sugar to taste
- 1 teaspoonCardamom powder
- 10Raisins
- 10Almonds
- 10Cashew
- 1 pinch ofsaffron
Directions
- Step1Wash the Sabudana and soak them in water for 45-60 minutes
- Step2Take a heave bottom pan and boil the water
- Step3Put Sabudana in it and cook
- Step4When the complete water soaked, switch off the flame
- Step5Boil the milk in another pan
- Step6When the milk boiled, add Sabudana in it
- Step7Continue cooking for 5 minutes
- Step8Now add sugar, raisin, almonds, cashew nuts and cardamom powder
- Step9Switch off the flame after 5 minutes
- Step10It is done, let it get cold
- Step11Serve cold or hot, as per choice
